Two New York Yankees are suffering from minor injuries as both Travis Hafner and Brett Gardner are day-to-day with contusions, reports Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News.
Yankees injuries: Brett Gardner, Travis Hafner day-to-day with leg contusions
Both players were removed from Wednesday’s game after suffering their respective injuries.

Hafner’s bruise is on his foot, and Gardner’s is on his right leg. The two were each removed from Wednesday’s game due to the ailments. Both players had x-rays done on their injuries, and the results came back negative.
After starting the season hot, Hafner has been mired in a deep slump. Since June 1, he has hit .176 with a .564 OPS over 29 games. He has struck out 29 times over that span while drawing just nine walks. Given his struggles, a day or two out of the lineup may have been coming for Hafner soon, anyway.
Gardner, who was removed after being hit by a pitch, had an excellent June with a .330/.372/.881 line. He has cooled off some in July, but has still been an asset to the Yankees.
Neither player should miss much time.
