The Colorado Rockies activated shortstop Troy Tulowitzki from the disabled list on Thursday, the team announced via Twitter. Also needing to open a roster spot for outfielder Dexter Fowler, Corey Dickerson and Tyler Colvin have been optioned to Triple-A.
Troy Tulowitzki injury: Rockies SS activated from DL
The Rockies get their superstar shortstop back from a fractured rib.

Tulowitzki, out since June with a fractured rib, had an excellent season put on pause with the injury. Currently batting .347 with 16 home runs, he’s been one of the best shortstops in the National League during his eighth season.
His replacement, Josh Rutledge, was batting .216 with just six home runs, so the Rockies will surely welcome the return of Tulowitzki's power bat to their lineup.
The Rockies were deeply entrenched in the playoff race when Tulowitzki went down, but have since cooled off and fallen back in the NL West. The injury-prone shortstop will probably have to stay healthy if the team is going to get hot and make a run at the playoffs.
