Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford was scratched from the lineup with lower back stiffness prior to his team's game against the Colorado Rockies on Friday, the team announced.
Carl Crawford injury: Dodgers OF has back stiffness, scratched from lineup
Crawford is 2-for-25 at the plate since returning from the disabled list a week ago.

Crawford hasn't made a start since Tuesday, when he went 1-for-4 in a victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. He entered the game against the D-Backs on Wednesday as a pinch-hitter and stayed in to play left field. He finished that game 0-for-4, but singled in his lone plate appearance on Thursday in a win over the Colorado Rockies.
Crawford has already missed more than a month this season due to a hamstring injury. Since his return on July 5, the former All-Star outfielder is 2-for-25 at the plate. Despite Crawford’s slump, the Dodgers are 6-1 since he came off the disabled list.
Skip Schumaker, Andre Ethier and Yasiel Puig will man the outfield for the Dodgers on Friday night against the Rockies.
