When New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez met with MLB officials on Friday night, he chose to skip a rehab assignment without the permission of the Yankees, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post. The report was confirmed by David Waldstein of the New York Times, who said that the Yankees are "mad" at the 14-time All-Star.
Alex Rodriguez reportedly skipped Friday minor league rehab game without permission
The Yankees aren’t happy with the All-Star third baseman after he left his rehab assignment without permission.

Rodriguez was scheduled to play for the Tampa Yankees on Friday as he continues to try to come back from surgery on the labrum of his hip. Instead, Rodriguez had a meeting with MLB officials investigating the alleged distribution of performance-enhancing drugs by the Biogenesis clinic.
The slight to the Yankees wouldn’t be the first time that Rodriguez has rubbed the team the wrong way recently, as he was recently told by general manager Brian Cashman that he needs to shut up after tweeting details of his recovery.
Rodriguez returned to the Tampa Yankees lineup on Saturday when they faced the Bradenton Mauraders.
