Twins 10, Yankees 4: The Twins took advantage of two Yankees errors, scoring five unearned runs of CC Sabathia. Aaron Hicks hit a three-run homer off Sabathia, helping the Twins get their first win against the left-handed pitcher since July 29, 2007. The win gave Minnesota their first series victory in New York since 2001.
Around the Bases: San Diego bounces back, Rays gain on Red Sox
Tampa Bay gained on the first-place Red Sox heading into the All-Star break, Seattle picked up their first sweep of the season and a whole lot more happened around the league on Sunday.

Tigers 5, Rangers 0: Justin Verlander carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning before allowing a two-out double to Mitch Moreland in the seventh. Verlander left the start after the seventh with a tight right quad muscle. Torii Hunter, Victor Martinez and Jhonny Peralta all hit solo homers off Rangers starter Martin Perez.
Nationals 5, Marlins 2 (10): Nationals manager Davey Johnson dropped Denard Span from the top of the order, and the outfielder snapped out of a 1-for-20 slump in a big way. Span went 3-for-5 at the plate, and drove in Ian Desmond with a go-ahead RBI-double in the top of the 10th inning. Taylor Jordan allowed two runs on eight hits over six innings his fourth start of the season.
Orioles 7, Blue Jays 4: Chris Davis connected on home run No. 37 on the season, tying him with Reggie Jackson for most home runs hit before the All-Star break by an AL player:
Adam Jones also hit a homer off Toronto starter Josh Johnson, who fell to 1-5 on the season. Scott Feldman allowed three runs on five hits over 7⅓ innings, striking out seven Blue Jays in his first win since being traded to Baltimore.
Indians 6, Royals 4: A three-run sixth inning saw Asdrubal Carbrea double to drive in two and Jason Kipnis add another on a base hit, giving Cleveland the win and the sweep as they won their fifth straight. The Tribe needed six pitchers in the effort, as starter Ubaldo Jiminez lasted just four innings, giving up eight hits and four runs. A fan at the game caught four foul balls, which ESPN Stats & Info reports is a trillion-to-one event.
Reds 8, Braves 4: Cincinnati's bats delivered a win, as they piled on the Braves for 11 hits and eight runs, including a four-run third that gave them an early 4-1 lead. Jay Bruce and Shin Soo Choo both homered for the Reds. The Braves had a glimpse of a rally when Andrelton Simmons hit a solo shot in the bottom of the ninth, but that was all they would get.
Phillies 4, White Sox 3 (10): John Mayberry Jr. gave Philadelphia the win on a walk-off two-out single in the bottom of the 10th. Philly had a 3-0 lead entering the seventh, but Chicago got two runs off starter Cole Hamels and another off Jonathan Papelbon in the ninth to force extra innings. The two teams enter the All Star break headed in completely opposite directions: the win was Philadelphia's ninth in 13 games while Chicago drops to 18 games below .500.
Mets 4, Pirates 2: Dillon Gee gave up just one unearned run in 6.2 innings, clearing the way for New York to avoid being swept by the Pirates. Pittsburgh had nine hits but left as many on base and went 1-10 with runners in scoring position, sending them into the All Star break with a loss. Gerrit Cole takes the loss for the Pirates, meaning he's now lost three straight after winning the first four starts of his career.
Chris Archer was a bit better than that for Tampa Bay, holding the Astros to five hits as he threw the first complete game of his career. Archer struck out eight with no walks in the 112-pitch effort. The Astros have now strung together 17 scoreless innings and lost 12 of 15.
Rockies 3, Dodgers 1: Colorado took one from Los Angeles on the back of a two-run shot from Michael Cuddyer in the top of the fifth. Cuddyer is batting .330 with 16 home runs and 55 RBI on the season. Rookie sensation Yasiel Puig entered the game in the bottom of the fifth with a pinch-hit single, his only hit of the day. The game also featured a long putout, as Dexter Fowler was caught stealing, 2-6-3-4-1-6-2:
Mariners 4, Angels 3: Seattle picked up their first sweep of the season behind an improved effort from Hisashi Iwakuma, who threw seven innings while allowing three runs on seven hits for his second win in his previous six starts. Raul Ibanez, Kyle Seager and Justin Smoak drove the Seattle offense. The Angels bullpen pitched four scoreless innings, but the four runs on five hits yielded by starter Joe Blanton proved to be more than Los Angeles could overcome.
Padres 10, Giants 1: San Diego wasn't feeling the effects of suffering the first no-hitter in team history as they drilled San Francisco in a rout. San Diego got to Barry Zito early, knocking him from the game in the third after four runs on four hits, then took Jake Dunning for another three runs, and two from George Kontos. San Francisco managed five hits but only one run, on a Marco Scutaro single in the first.
Athletics 3, Red Sox 2 (11): Boston built a 2-0 lead and held Oakland hitless through the first six innings, but the A's got their first hit off Brandon Workman to open the seventh, an infield single by Coco Crisp:
A Josh Donaldson home run made it 2-2, and Donaldson would come through again in the bottom of the 11th with the game-winning hit, a single to right off Matt Thorton. Boston enters the break at 58-39 and only 2½ games ahead of the Rays, while Oakland improved to 56-39 and bumped their division lead over the Rangers to two games.
Brewers 5, Diamondbacks 1: Milwaukee stopped a four-game skid behind seven strong innings from Wily Peralta, who gave up seven hits but only one run while striking out eight and walking two. The Brewers took Arizona starter Ian Kennedy for five runs on nine hits, notably two from Logan Schafer: a sacrifice bunt in the second and a solo home run in the fifth. Miguel Montero homered for Arizona's only run, as the team went 0-6 with runners in scoring position and left six men on.
Cardinals 10, Cubs 6: On the day he found out he was replacing teammate Adam Wainwright on the NL All-Star team, Cardinals closer Edward Mujica blew his second save of the season with a pair of eighth-inning runs. But the Cardinals rallied for four runs of their own in the ninth against Kevin Gregg and Matt Guerrier. St. Louis enters the All-Star break at 57-36, owners of the best record in baseball.
