Matt Harvey asks New Yorkers what they think about Matt Harvey on Jimmy Fallon

Harvey took to the streets, courtesy of Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night show, to find out if New Yorkers know who he is.

Mike Ehrmann

Matt Harvey is the starting pitcher for the National League in the 2013 MLB All-Star Game. He's one of the best young hurlers in the game, but hasn't been around all that long. Still, though, he's a phenomenon among Mets fans, so you'd think some of them would know know who he is when they see him in the streets. As this Late Night with Jimmy Fallon segment shows us, though, that's not exactly the case.

Harvey goes around asking New Yorkers who their favorite Mets player is, what they think of Matt Harvey, if they have any advice for him and his career, and so on. While the outcome is expected, it’s still pretty funny, and Harvey does a good job as a straight man to make the segment work.

Seriously, though: Lucas Duda? He's your favorite Mets' player, Random Guy On Street? Things are much worse in New York than I ever imagined them to be.
