Brandon Phillips shows off with barehanded double play

Fox announcer Tim McCarver was gushing about Brandon Phillips' defense while the All-Star Game played in the background, but his timing was pretty good: Phillips got a second chance to turn a double play in the same inning, and received Troy Tulowitzki's feed from short barehanded, giving him enough time to turn two.

Phillips isn’t as great defensively as was being espoused on the broadcast -- hey, he’s pretty good, though -- but you can’t beat timing.
