Homer Bailey has a no-hitter against the Giants through 8 innings
Homer Bailey is an inning away from no-hitting the San Francisco Giants.

Bailey induced a pop out and a pair of fly outs to quickly retire the Giants in the top half of the eighth. He has allowed just one walk while punching out eight batters. Bailey has thrown 96 pitchers, 64 of which have been for strikes.
Bailey has a chance to become the first pitcher in Major League Baseball since Nolan Ryan to hold the distinction of throwing two no-hitters during a span in which no other pitcher accomplished the feat. Bailey no-hit the Pittsburgh Pirates in September of last season.
