Oakland Athletics outfielder Yoenis Cespedes will miss a second consecutive game against the Los Angeles Angels with soreness in his left wrist, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Yoenis Cespedes injury: Athletics OF out of lineup with left wrist soreness
Claims it is unrelated to the Home Run Derby.

Cespedes, 27, has yet to return to the Athletics lineup since winning the 2013 Home Run Derby; however, he told Slusser that the injury was unrelated to the event on Monday night. He also said that he doesn’t believe that he will be available as a pinch hitter for the team.
In 79 games with Oakland this season, Cespedes has a .225 batting average with 15 home runs and 43 runs batted in. During the Home Run Derby, he managed to hit 32 total home runs, including nine in the final round to defeat Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals.
With Cespedes out of the lineup on Friday, the Athletics lost to the Angels, 4-1, managing just four hits against opposing starter, Jered Weaver.
