The Cubs are not only trying to trade Matt Garza, as they have now added Alfonso Soriano and Kevin Gregg to the trading block, reports Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times.
MLB trade rumors: Soriano, Gregg placed on the trade block
The Cubs are looking to sell at the trade deadline, with Alfonso Soriano and Kevin Gregg being some of their second tier assets after Matt Garza.

Soriano has a large salary component to any deal involving him -- the Cubs outfielder is making $18 million this year and another $18 million in 2014 -- and Chicago may have to eat a significant portion of his salary to get a good return. The team is now in full sell mode, having already dealt Scott Hairston, Scott Feldman and Carlos Marmol away. Teams such as the Yankees could be suitors for Soriano, as he provides a right-handed bat with some pop. As Yankees' right-handed hitters have a slash line of .221/.284/.309, and the AL East is loaded with left-handed pitching, Soriano would fit perfectly if New York is buying.
The Red Sox could be a suitor for Gregg, and while the Boston farm has changed since Theo Epstein left for Chicago, there are sure to be names the Cubs are interested in there. The Tigers and Diamondbacks were also mentioned as possible fits for the right-handed reliever.
The team has other assets, such as Nate Schierholtz, whom the Yankees may view as more of a platoon-type. Catcher Dioner Navarro is being shopped, and could be packaged along with Matt Garza. Navarro is the personal catcher for Garza, and also caught him when the two played together in Tampa Bay.
