The Astros have already scratched Norris from his scheduled Tuesday start against the Orioles, which, coupled with the fast-approaching trade deadline, is usually a pretty good sign that his time with the organization is coming to an end.

Chicago will get its first look at pitching prospect Andre Rienzo Tuesday night while fielding calls for Peavy.Passan speculates that a trade package built around Pirates pitching prospect Tyler Glasnow would “make sense,” but no offers have been confirmed just yet. Glasnow, 19, was a fifth-round pick in the 2011 draft and is currently demolishing the competition at the Pirates’ Single-A affiliate. The right-hander owns a 2.24 earned run average and more than 12 strikeouts per nine innings in 92⅓ innings of work.
The Pirates aren't alone in their pursuit of Norris -- and deadline deals are known to fall through at the last minute -- so it's likely too soon to conclude that the right-hander will be wearing black and gold on Wednesday. The Dodgers, Blue Jays, Giants and Red Sox have all been tied to the Norris in recent weeks, so he could end up going anywhere.
Norris, 28, has two years of team control remaining beyond this season, but isn't thought of as a top-of-the-rotation starter, so his asking price isn't likely to be as high as someone like Jake Peavy. Norris owns a solid 3.93 ERA through 21 starts this season, but his declining strikeout rate -- down to a career-low six per nine -- may turn off some clubs.
