Puig made a grab for an out in the fifth inning, and batted in the sixth, but was removed from the game in favor of Skip Schumaker in the bottom of the inning.
Yasiel Puig injury: Dodgers OF returns to starting lineup
Yasiel Puig will return to the Dodgers’ lineup Thursday after suffering a bruised hip in a collision with the right-field wall Wednesday.

Puig was diagnosed with a bruised hip and tightness in his thigh, but X-rays taken by the Dodgers came back negative. Fortunately for him, the injuries don’t appear to be serious.
Puig is entering Thursday’s game on a seven-game hitting streak. The 22-year-old was promoted to the Majors at the start of June, and has hit .440/.466/.743 in 28 games since. On Wednesday, Puig was named National League Player of the Month and National League Rookie of the Month for June, becoming the first player ever to win both awards during his first month playing in the Majors.
