Wei-Yin Chen will return to the Baltimore Orioles starting rotation after making his final rehab start on Thursday, writes Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com.
Baltimore Orioles to activate Wei-Yin Chen off DL next week
Chen will rejoin a suddenly crowded Baltimore pitching rotation.

The southpaw tossed seven shutout innings for Double-A Bowie, and left after the game to join the Orioles in New York to prepare for their series against the Yankees. Baltimore is expected to activate Chen next week, and he will make a start either Tuesday or Wednesday against the Texas Rangers.
Chen made eight starts for the Orioles before heading to the disabled list with an oblique strain. The lefty went 3-3 with a 3.04 ERA over 47 1/3 innings. Chen made 32 starts for Baltimore in 2012, going 12-11 with a 4.02 ERA.
The Orioles have yet to decide who Chen will replace in the rotation, Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun is reporting. Baltimore manager Buck Showalter has indicated that either Zach Britton or Kevin Gausman will likely head down to Triple-A Norfolk, but has not made a final decision.
