The Los Angeles Dodgers are "getting close" to completing a trade that would net Ricky Nolasco from the Miami Marlins in exchange for three prospects, although none are considered "upper echelon," according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

The Dodgers are reportedly close to a trade that would send three prospects to the Marlins in exchange for Ricky Nolasco.

Nolasco, 30, is the Marlins’ franchise all-time leader in strikeouts and wins, but has a 5-8 record in 2013 with the team, owners of the National League’s worst record. Despite the poor record for Nolasco, he has an earned run average under 4.00 for only the second time in his eight-year career, at 3.85.
The Dodgers have had some solid performances from three-time All-Star Clayton Kershaw and have been helped by the play of rookie Hyun-Jin Ryu, but could use improvements in the remainder of the rotation.
Nolasco was a fourth-round selection by the Cubs in the 2001 amateur draft, but made his debut with the Marlins in April 2006 and has played his entire career with the team since.
