The Boston Red Sox are expected to recall top prospect Jackie Bradley Jr. from Triple-A on Tuesday to help their injury-depleted outfield, reports Joon Lee of MLB Daily Dish.

Both Jacoby Ellsbury and Shane Victorino sat out of Monday night's game, forcing Daniel Nava into center field for the first time in his career. While Ellsbury (wrist) and Victorino (hamstring) aren't expected to hit the DL as a result of their injuries, they could be out of the lineup for a few more days, so Bradley is a much more defensively capable alternative in center to Nava.

Maybe it'll be funnier after a cup of coffee. Bradley, 23, will join the big-league club for the third time this season. The top prospect -- ranked No. 31 by Baseball America -- began the year as the team’s starting left fielder, but was optioned back to Triple-A after struggling through his first three weeks in red stockings.
After a short stint on the disabled list in Pawtuckett, Bradley took the International League by storm. The young outfielder is now hitting .297/.393/.530 with seven home runs in 45 games at Triple-A. He also looked much better at the plate in his second brief stint with the Sox in late May, so perhaps the third time at Fenway will be the charm for Bradley.
Who will be moved off the roster to make room for Bradley is unknown, but Marc Normandin at Over the Monster speculates that a trio of bullpen arms -- Jose De La Torre, Alex Wilson, or Alfredo Aceves -- are the most likely candidates because they all have at least one option left.
