After months of recovery from a torn labrum in his right shoulder, Cincinnati Reds outfielder Ryan Ludwick will finally return to the lineup on Monday, reports the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Ryan Ludwick injury: Reds will activate OF on Monday
It’s been a long road to recovery for Ludwick, but it’s finally paying off as he will return to the Reds’ lineup.

The Reds lost Ludwick on Opening Day when the left fielder separated his shoulder and tore the muscle while sliding head-first into third base. Ludwick needed surgery and was expected back after three months. Now, four months later, he is finally ready to rejoin the team.
Ludwick has been on a two-week minor league rehab stint to shake off rust and to be sure he does not have any setbacks. Playing for Low-A and Triple-A, he picked up just six hits over 44 at-bats. He hit one home run and struck out nine times, with no walks.
Ludwick traveled with the Reds on Saturday and is expected to work out with the team on Sunday before his activation Monday.
The Reds acquired Ludwick as a free agent prior to the 2012 season. In his first year with the team he had his best season since 2008, launching 26 homers and posting an .877 OPS.
