Videos: Athletics just miss walk-off homer in second straight game then lose, again
Even worse, both near-homers were Chris Young’s doing.

Fast-forward to Wednesday night, and we once again have Chris Young up against the Astros in a situation where a walk-off home run would win it all. Again, Young lifted a fly ball to deep left field, but this time, it wasn't foul territory that got in the way. Instead, Astros outfielder Robbie Grossman would deny Young and the A's victory-by-walk-off for the second consecutive night:
The Astros would then notch a game-winning hit in the 11th, sealing the A’s fate.
Poor Chris Young. There’s the fact that he almost won two games for his A’s with near-homers, and that’s crushing enough. Throw in that it’s been a tough year for him anyway, though, as he’s having his worst season since he was a rookie back in 2007, and losing out on two big homers in consecutive nights just compounds the issue.
And it’s the Astros. The Astros, you guys.
