Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has denied allegations that he leaked Biogenesis information that led to the suspensions of Ryan Braun and Yankees teammate Francisco Cervelli. Rodriguez told reporters before the Yankees-Red Sox game at Fenway Park on Friday that he has spoken to Cervelli and that they are on good terms.

The Yankees third baseman has been accused by some of tampering with MLB’s investigation into the Miami-based Biogenesis clinic.
Rodriguez, per CSN New England:
”Obviously it’s a very tough situation, but not surprising. I think they reported this about four months ago but it didn’t get much traction. Here we’re at Fenway and it’s back, so it’s just weird. Weird timing.
“It’s not true. I spoke to Cervelli this morning, and had a positive conversation. He understands that it’s not true, and we’re on the same page. Cervelli’s like my brother, and we fully understand that it’s not true.”
60 Minutes reported earlier on Friday that the initial reports on the Biogenesis scandal that were released in January by the Miami Times did not include the names of Braun and Cervelli, but those same reports that were released by Rodriguez’s camp later on did include the redacted names. That has led to speculation that Rodriguez tampered with the investigation.

Yankees teammate Curtis Granderson said that if Rodriguez says he did not leak information, that is "good enough for him," according to Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York.
Rodriguez acknowledged that this likely is not the end of the controversy surrounding him, not by a long shot.
“Let’s make one thing clear: For the next seven weeks it’s going to be a very, very bumpy road,” Rodriguez told reporters. “Every day, expect a story like this, if not bigger.”
