MLB scores roundup: Red Sox come back, Puig homers again

Indians 6, White Sox 1: Justin Masterson struck out seven over 6⅔ innings and Ryan Raburn hit two home runs to supply the firepower. The Indians are now 60-48, and well within shooting range of both the division and wild card.

Marlins 3, Mets 0: Eight strikeouts, no walks, one loss for Mr. Matt Harvey. The Marlins scored three in the sixth off of the Mets' phenom and Tom Koehler pitched six shutout innings to keep the Mets off the board.

Royals 7, Twins 2: James Shields gave up two runs in six innings and the Royals improved to 54-51. They are now also somehow within range of the wild card. Dayton Moore lives another day.

Rangers 7, Diamondbacks 1: (Insert Yu pun) Yu Darvish struck out 14 batters in only seven innings, and I can confirm that the Diamondbacks were indeed trying. A.J. Pierzynski, David Murphy and Mitch Moreland all hit home runs for Texas.

Orioles 6, Astros 3: Bud Norris allowed two runs in six innings against the team he played for as recently as yesterday. Chris Davis hit his 39th home run of the season, as he continues to rake.

Giants 2, Phillies 1: This intense battle between two teams that decided not to sell at the deadline resulted in the winning team improving to 48-59 and the other falling to 50-58. Cole Hamels pitched eight shutout innings and Brian Kenny is excited to mention this along with the fact that he didn't win the game. Just not enough #TWTW.

Cardinals 13, Pirates 0: Someone finally reminded the Cardinals that the object of offense is to score runs, and wow did that go well. Joe Kelly pitched six shutout innings, and Allen Craig, Jon Jay and Tony Cruz all drove in two runs.

Braves 11, Rockies 2: Julio Teheran struck out 11 Rockies in five innings and Justin Upton hit two home runs as the Braves cruised to a win over Colorado.

Red Sox 8, Mariners 7: A six-run ninth inning finished a comeback from a six-run deficit for Boston, which was capped off by this:

Dodgers 6, Cubs 4: A solid outing from Ricky Nolasco would not be wasted as the Dodgers would win this on the strength of a three-run sixth, and a Puig-bomb.

Angels 8, Blue Jays 2: Mark Trumbo hit a home run as the Angels beat the Blue Jays. Sure thought this series would've meant a lot more before the season.
