The two were arrested in connection with an incident that occurred on Saturday.

Michael Ryan Mason and Jesse Meaux were each charged with two counts of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual offense. The Rockies released the following statement, per the Citizen-Times
"The Colorado Rockies and their affiliate, the Asheville Tourists, are aware of the arrests and the very serious allegations made against two players, Michael Mason and Jesse Meaux," the statement said. "Each organization is shocked and deeply concerned about the allegations. At this time, the players have been suspended as the investigation and legal process continue.
"We are working with the authorities investigating the circumstances and issues surrounding the events and are awaiting further details and findings. Given that this is an ongoing legal investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment or speculate any further."
The incident occurred on Saturday, and the Rockies released their statement Thursday evening. Both Mason, a 2012 24th-round draft pick, and Meaux, a 19th-round pick in 2011, were playing for the Asheville Tourists, the Rockies’ Single-A affiliate.
