Miguel Cabrera injury: Tigers 3B exits with irritation in abdominal area
Miguel Cabrera left Friday’s game against the Cleveland Indians with an abdominal injury.

Cabrera was listed as day-to-day heading into this game, as well. He had the same injury on Thursday and left that game in the fifth inning. It’s unclear the exact nature or seriousness of the issue; all that’s being said is that it’s an abdominal injury. At this point, smart money is on him missing some time as opposed to trying to gut it out, as that hasn’t worked out so far.
Obviously, the Tigers need Cabrera back and need him healthy. They’re dong well, but Cabrera is a big part of that, as he leads the team in all of the major batting stats. He’s got a .359 batting average, 130 RBI, a .450 OBP and 43 home runs on the year.
