Red Sox starting pitcher Clay Buchholz felt "real good" after throwing a bullpen session Tuesday, reports Gene Duffey of MLB.com.
Clay Buchholz injury: Pitcher throws off mound for first time since July 17
The Red Sox move one step closer to having a fully healthy rotation.

The session consisted of 27 pitches, mostly fastballs, and represents a milestone for Buchholz since he had not thrown off a mound since July 17. Buchholz could throw a full bullpen session as early as Friday, which will be the next step in his recovery. He also mentioned that he is at “about 60 to 65 percent.”
Buchholz has been out since going on the disabled list on June 9 with a neck strain, and he then developed inflammation in the bursa sac of his throwing shoulder.
He said that he will have to throw some simulated games and then some rehab games before he is able to return to the Red Sox, but when he does he will join Jon Lester and the recently-acquired Jake Peavy at the top of a formidable Red Sox rotation.
Buchholz, had a 1.71 ERA in 12 starts this season before getting injured.
