The Los Angeles Dodgers activated outfielder Matt Kemp from the 15-day disabled list in time for their contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday, the team announced.
Dodgers activate OF Matt Kemp
The Dodgers’ star center fielder will likely be limited to pinch-hitting.

Kemp will likely be limited to pinch-hitting duty in the immediate future, as True Blue LA’s Eric Stephen notes. The 28-year-old star will probably need to be replaced by a pinch runner if he reaches base in any of those pinch-hit appearances, as well.
Kemp is hitting .263/.319/.382 in 251 plate appearances. In the last 10 games he played, Kemp went 11-for-33 with three homers.
The Dodgers have relied on an outfield mostly consisting of Carl Crawford, Andre Ethier and Yasiel Puig in Kemp's absence. He has appeared in 11 games since the Dodgers began their run toward the top of the National League West on June 22.
