Todd Helton hits home run in final game at Coors Field
The Rockies and their fans paid tribute to their departing longtime first baseman on Wednesday, and he returned the favor in a big way in the second inning.

Helton, who announced his retirement earlier this month, was honored before the game in a ceremony that included the 40-year-old veteran receiving a horse from the club as a farewell gift. After the Rockies found themselves down by three runs out of the gate, he returned the favor to the Rockies and their raucous home crowd, which summoned him for a curtain call after the big hit.
The deep fly was Helton’s 15th of the season and 369th of his storied career.
