The American League Wild Card is coming down the final days of the season and no one is willing to lose. All three of the teams still in the race won on Thursday. The Rays and Indians have now won seven in a row and the Rangers win streak is up to four.
AL Wild Card standings: Rangers walk off, Indians skate by, Rays steamroll
The AL Wild Card standings remain unchanged after all three contenders win.

Texas won in the most dramatic fashion, beating the Angels on a pinch hit walk-off home run from rookie phenom Jurickson Profar. Texas got another subpar start from Matt Garza in this game and Tanner Scheppers failed to hold the Angels in the eighth as well. Profar's walk-off in the same week that the Wild Card-leading Indians got a game-winning blast from Jason Giambi, giving this race an interesting generational dynamic:

The Indians let a 6-1 blowout become a nail-biter as Chris Perez gave up four runs in the ninth, but they won to hold on to their Wild Card spot for another day at least.
Rays starter Alex Cobb didn't let things get nearly so dramatic in the Bronx. He threw seven shutout innings allowing just three hits and two walks with four strike outs. Tampa Bay still has a one game advantage in the race.
