The Dodgers and Giants have arguably baseball's oldest and greatest rivalry, so anytime the two clubs meet there are bound to be fireworks. The latest chapter in the decades-old feud came Thursday night, when former San Francisco closer and current Dodgers reliever Brian Wilson had a heated conversation with Giants CEO Larry Baer after the game.
Brian Wilson confronts Giants CEO over World Series ring, per reports
A dispute over a 2012 World Series ring not yet received was reportedly the impetus for a confrontation of sorts between former Giants closer Brian Wilson and team CEO Larry Baer.

Wilson was warming up in the bullpen, located down the right field line at AT&T Park, in the ninth inning of the Dodgers’ 3-2 loss to the Giants. Wilson was jogging back to the first base dugout at the end of the game, but crossed the field to speak with Baer, who has seats next to the third base dugout.
Though the conversation was serious, at least on Wilson’s side, it was downplayed after the game.
“Just a conversation between me and him,” Wilson told reporters after the game, per Andrew Baggarly of CSN Bay Area.
The exact reason for the conversation hasn't been revealed, but Wilson is reportedly upset that he hasn't received his 2012 World Series ring from the Giants, a "well-placed source" told Baggarly.
Giants team officials said they tried “repeatedly” to contact Wilson and received no response, per Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle. Wilson’s ring was eventually given to a Dodgers official outside the visitors clubhouse after the game, per Janie McCauley of the Associated Press.
Wilson saved 163 games for the Giants from 2008-2011 and recorded the final out of their 2010 World Series win over the Rangers. He was also on the Giants' 2012 World Series-winning club, but didn't pitch after April due to Tommy John surgery prematurely ending his campaign.
After nearly a year and a half away from baseball, Wilson signed as a free agent with the Dodgers on July 30. He is 2-1 with a 0.73 ERA in 16 games with Los Angeles.
