The Chicago Cubs will meet with incumbent skipper Dale Sveum on Monday to discuss his future with the club, general manager Theo Epstein said on Friday, via Fox Sports' Jon Morosi and Ken Rosenthal.
Dale Sveum to meet with Cubs Monday, per report
The Cubs could be looking for a new manager by the time next week rolls around.

Sveum and his entire staff will be evaluated by the Cubs' front office on Monday, with possible changes to come soon afterward. While the club is reportedly still undecided about whether or not to retain Sveum, cutting the second-year manager could open up several high-profile possibilities, including New York Yankees skipper Joe Girardi, whose contract expires after the season.
The Cubs went 61-101 under Sveum in 2012 and could wind up with as many as 96 losses this season, depending on how their final series against the St. Louis Cardinals goes. Chicago has not lost 96 or more games in consecutive seasons in its 128-year history.
