Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez is expected to play consecutive days when the team begins the postseason, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Ramirez has not played on consecutive days in over two weeks, but Dodgers management believes he can be in the lineup every day in the postseason.

Ramirez has not played on back-to-back days since Sept. 12-13 and has only played in roughly half of the team’s games this season due to thumb and hamstring injuries. Most recently, the Dodgers have been working to keep Ramirez healthy as he deals with nerve irritation in his back.
Dodgers manager Don Mattingly says he believes Ramirez should be able to play every game in the playoffs.
The Dodgers kept Ramirez out of the lineup on Friday, but he is expected to play in Saturday's game against the Rockies. Management refrained from comment on whether he would play in Sunday's regular season finale.
When Ramirez has been in the lineup, he has been perhaps the Dodgers’ best hitter, posting a .346/.401/.641 batting line and slugging 20 home runs despite limited playing time.
