Kazmir has had a nice comeback season and could be one of the better valued pitchers on the free agent market.

Contract talks between Kazmir and the Indians have reportedly been tabled for now, but will start up again in the future. They will likely wait for the Indians' season to be over to prevent discussions from becoming a distraction. Cleveland is currently one game ahead of the Rays and Rangers for the first wild card spot in the American League.
After appearing in just one total game in 2011 and 2012, Kazmir signed a minor league deal with the Indians prior to 2013 as he attempted a comeback. He made the team’s starting rotation out of spring training but was placed on the disabled list with a rib cage strain before he could make a start. He made his season debut on April 20 and has posted a 4.04 ERA and amassed 162 strikeouts to just 47 walks over 29 starts.
The free agent market for starting pitchers does not appear to be very strong this offseason, which could help Kazmir, who is still just 29 years old, earn a decent contract if the Indians do not lock him up soon.
