Rays vs. Rangers, AL Wild Card 2013 tiebreaker: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more

The winner of Monday’s single-elimination game earns the right to play in Wednesday’s single-elimination game.

The Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays both finished the season 91-71, and will need to play a tiebreaker game on Monday to determine who will face the Cleveland Indians in the AL Wild Card Game.

Martin Perez will start the game for the Rangers. Perez made 19 starts in his rookie season, going 10-5 with a 3.55 ERA. The southpaw does a good job limiting walks and forcing groundballs, but owns a below-average strikeout rate.

Texas edged Tampa Bay 4-3 in the season series, earning the honor to host the game. The game will start at 8:07 p.m. ET, with coverage on TBS. TBS pre-game coverage of the event will start at 7:30 p.m. ET, with post-game coverage afterwards.
