With a 9-8 win over the Oakland Athletics in 12 innings in the American League Wild Card Game on Tuesday night in Kansas City, the Kansas City Royals have moved into the American League's final four teams. The Royals will travel to Anaheim, where they will begin the ALDS on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Kansas City Royals, former division rivals in the American League West, will battle in the American League Division Series beginning Thursday night in Anaheim.
The Angels (98-64) owned the best record in baseball during the regular season, but split six games against the Royals, including winning two of three games in Anaheim, where they were an MLB-best 52-29.
The ALDS will be televised by TBS, with the A-team crew of Ernie Johnson on play-by-play, Cal Ripken and Ron Darling for analysis and reporter Matt Winer. That quartet called the American League Wild Card Game on Tuesday night.
