Giants vs. Cardinals, 2014 NLCS Game 1: Start time, TV schedule and how to watch online
It’s the Giants and Cardinals in the postseason, so you can pretty much count on good pitching and close games.

The San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals will meet in the National League Championship Series for the second time in three years. The Cardinals didn't come out on top last time, but Game 1 starter Adam Wainwright wasn't to blame.
Wainwright allowed only one run in seven innings in his lone start of the 2012 NLCS, a Game 4 victory that gave St. Louis a commanding 3-1 lead. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, San Francisco stormed back to win each of the next three games by a combined score of 20-1 en route to its second World Series championship in three seasons.
Both teams are coming off 3-1 series victories in the NLDS, and both were the benefactors of excellent pitching. Giants pitchers allowed just eight earned runs in 45 innings, including only one in an 18-inning affair in Game 2. Meanwhile, the Cardinals bounced back from Wainwright’s troublesome Game 1 outing to surrender only six runs over the final three contests.
