Royals vs. Orioles 2014 live stream: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and how to watch online for ALCS Game 2
Orioles manager Buck Showalter is being characteristically coy regarding which one of his starters will face off against Yordano Ventura for Saturday’s ALCS Game 2 at Camden Yards.
Yordano Ventura had a rocky start to the 2014 postseason, but the Kansas City Royals' rookie hurler bounced back nicely and will be rewarded with a start in Game 2 of the ALCS in Baltimore against the Orioles.
Ventura tossed seven innings of one-run ball in the Royals' win over the Los Angeles Angels in Game 2 of the ALDS. The 23-year-old right-hander allowed only five hits and notched five strikeouts just three days after surrendering a two-run home run in a relief appearance in the AL Wild Card play-in game.
The Orioles will counter Ventura with Bud Norris, but manager Buck Showalter waited until after Game 1 to reveal his Game 2 starter
“We’re going to do everything we can to try to win tonight’s game, then we’ll let the smoke clear and see where we are,” Showalter explained to the Associated Press.
Norris was 15-8 with a 3.65 ERA in 28 starts for Baltimore during the regular season, with 139 strikeouts and 52 walks in 165 innings. He started and won Game 3 of the ALDS in Detroit, pitching scoreless baseball into the seventh inning in the first-ever playoff start for the 29-year-old right-hander.
Coverage of the game will begin at 3:30 p.m. on TBS, and the game will begin at 4:07 p.m. on the same network. The game can also be seen on MLB.tv’s postseason app and heard on your local ESPN Radio affiliate.
