Their lineup had a big offensive performance in Game 4 before Madison Bumgarner added to his dominant postseason with a shutout in Game 5. Ventura has been the club's best starter this postseason and pitched well against the Giants in his first outing of the series back in Game 2. The 23-year-old Dominican native has been one of the stars of this postseason, showing off an impressive arsenal buttressed by a fastball that can reach triple-digits.

The Royals offense can also look forward to facing someone other than Bumgarner. Veteran righty Jake Peavy will get the start for the Giants after an up-and-down performance in his first outing of the World Series. Peavy pitched five innings in Game 2, surrendering six hits and four runs. In three outings this October, Peavy has posted a 3.68 ERA but has struck out just six batters while walking eight.
