Scott Boras denies allegations of Manny Ramirez PED cover up
Agent Scott Boras denied allegations that he tried to help Manny Ramirez cover up a positive drug test in 2009, reports that surfaced from a New York Newsday report on Friday with Biognesis founder Anthony Bosch.

Bosch is the founder of Biogenesis, the anti-aging clinic that was linked to providing performance-enhancing drugs to major league baseball players, resulting in the suspensions of 13 different players in 2013, including Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun.
Bosch was one of eight arrested on federal drug charges and has agreed to testify against the others. Part of his testimony incriminated Boras, per Gus Garcia-Roberts of Newsday:
Bosch said Boras arranged the meeting after Ramirez tested positive for banned substances in 2009. Boras, according to Bosch, came up with an explanation for the failed test that involved Ramirez accidentally using an elderly uncle’s testosterone cream because he thought it was aftershave.
Ramirez, then with the Los Angeles Dodgers, was suspended 50 games in 2009 for his positive test.
Boras released a statement categorically denying the report, saying among other things, “I have never met Tony Bosch. I have never been to his office or conducted any meetings with him.”
