The Japan All-Star Series has been a fruitless trip so far for the group of MLB players touring Japan in a series of exhibition games. After losing the first three of a five-game set against Japan's national team, the MLB All-Stars will try to win Game 4 on Sunday at the Tokyo Dome.

In three games, the group of MLB players is just 9-for-87 (.103/.196/.184) in three games, all losses, including two shutouts. The MLB team has scored four total runs in those three games, and was no-hit by a group of four Japanese pitchers in Game 3 on Saturday.
To top off the bad news, the MLB All-Stars will be without one of their best hitters, with Robinson Cano suffering a broken toe on Saturday. He'll miss the remainder of the series.
After opening with an exhibition game against a group of Hanshin Tigers and Yomiuri Giants at Koshien, the MLB All-Stars have played Samurai Japan three times in two different cities -- Osaka and Tokyo. Sunday will mark the third straight game at the Tokyo Dome, followed by a travel day and then a game on Tuesday in Sapporo.
Chris Capuano will start for MLB after pitching four scoreless innings in Tuesday's exhibition against Hanshin/Yomiuri. Shintaro Fujinami, 20, will start for Japan.
