The Minnesota Twins and free-agent outfielder Torii Hunter have agreed on a one-year, $10.5 million contract, according to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
Torii Hunter, Twins reportedly agree on 1-year, $10.5 million deal
Hunter will return to the city where he spent his first 10 MLB seasons.

Hunter returns to the team that drafted him in 1993 and employed him for his first 10 big league seasons. While with the Twins, Hunter was an average offensive player known more for his exploits in the field. Since then, things have changed. Hunter has compiled a .289/.345/.460 line -- good for a 119 OPS+ -- in seven seasons with the Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers but has become a considerably worse defender. Since the beginning of the 2013 season, Hunter is 28 runs below average in the outfield.
The Texas Rangers also made an offer to Hunter, though it was for less money than what the 18-year veteran will receive from the Twins, per Rosenthal.
Hunter, 39, is a career .279/.334/.465 hitter with 331 home runs in more than 9,000 major league plate appearances. He accumulated 50.3 WAR but has been only slightly better than league average over the last two seasons.
