Now that Ian Kinsler is a Detroit Tiger, the Rangers appear to be at the precipice of the Jurickson Profar era -- which not only sounds really cool, but could also be a pretty exciting time for the team.
Jurickson Profar injury: Shoulder tendinitis will limit IF for another week
Profar’s “no throw” status will limit him for another week.

However, the young infielder is dealing with shoulder tendinitis in his throwing arm that will limit his spring action for another week, according to the Star-Telegram’s Drew Davison.
Profar, who turns 21 later this week, is on a “no throw” regimen through the end of this week, and as Fox Sports Southwest’s Anthony Andro reports, Profar isn’t currently swinging a bat either.

Texas general manager Jon Daniels doesn’t expect his new second baseman to be ready for game action until the second or third week of March. The team is taking its time not to rush him, but Daniels said Profar doesn’t have “much room for another setback to get ready for Opening Day.”
If Profar suffers another setback in his recovery, the Rangers could turn to free agent addition Brent Lillibridge or Profar's fellow 20-year-old prospect Rougned Odor. Former Atheltics infielder Adam Rosales is currently on the 40-man roster as well, but the Rangers don't appear to be panicking about their second baseman's shoulder "discomfort."
Last season, Profar hit .234/.308/.336 in his first extended look at major league pitching, but he owns a career minor league batting line of .276/.367/.449 and projects to be a plus defender on either side of second base.
