Time will tell how good 22-year-old Angels prospect Mike Trout will be, but we know that for one day, he could hang with the big boys. Trout notched what's come to be known as a "combo meal" (h/t 06010), stealing a base and hitting a home run in the same game.
Mike Trout takes baseball by the horns, gives it the business
The Angels center fielder gave it the old college try, at least.

Hit by a pitch earlier in the game, Trout disrespected baseball and your mother by stealing second base and added insult to injury with this:
Mike Trout has been hit by two pitches this spring and has stolen 2B immediately thereafter both time. #Angels

Far be it from us to pass judgement on a player as young as Trout, but it's clear he's got a lot to learn about the game of baseball before setting foot in a big league clubhouse. If he keeps this up, he's going to endanger more established stars such as Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton. Let one of them take one in the back or miss a few games due to his flippant antics, and he'll learn what's what.
At only 22, Trout has a long road ahead of him -- and the home runs and stolen bases will help him achieve great things -- but only in the right context. Eventually he’ll learn that if he respects the game, the game will respect him back.
