While it may not quite make him a "True Yankee" just yet, Carlos Beltran's walk-off three-run home run against the Orioles on Friday night was a step in the right direction.
Carlos Beltran hits walk-off home run, Marcell Ozuna shows off arm vs. Mets
Carlos Beltran plays the hero for the Yankees, and the Mets continue to play the goats for, well, everyone.

The hit, against O's reliever Zach Britton, comes amid a season-long struggle for the 37-year-old. It followed an RBI single from catcher Brian McCann to bring the team within one run of the Orioles in the bottom of the tenth inning. Now six games over .500, with four straight wins and just a game-and-a-half separating New York from the AL East-leading Toronto Blue Jays, this was an enormous hit for both Beltran and the team.
Coming off an elbow injury, the eight-time All-Star was hitting just .221 heading into the game, but managed to hit a double in the second to go along with the home run. The Yankees play the Orioles again Saturday.
Goldschmidt continues to own Lincecum
Paul Goldschmidt has done a lot of damage throughout the league, but has been especially harsh to two-time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum's mellow. After Friday's game against the Giants, Goldschmidt's career numbers against him -- which span 31 plate appearances -- are 15-for-26 (.577), with seven home runs, two doubles and three walks.
Ozuna throws out two Mets at home, because they never learn
The Mets, being the Mets, saw two players get thrown out at home by Marlins left fielder Marcell Ozuna. The second one ended the game with the score, 3-2, in the top of the ninth.
