Two National League Central teams pulled off walk-off wins on Friday. Ryan Braun brought in the game-winning run on a line drive up the middle against the Rockies not long after Pirates outfielder Josh Harrison played the hero in Pittsburgh against the Mets.

The single off of Matt Belisle was Braun's second RBI of the night after being hit by a pitch in the seventh. The win is the Brewers' third straight, the seventh out of their last 10, and puts them six games clear of the second-place Cardinals. Braun also has to hope this hit will spark a resurgent July; he's finishing up one of the worst single months of his career. Braun hit .230 in June to drop his batting average 44 points in just the last 26 days.
Harrison has had no such issues this month, hitting an even .300 in June, and helping the Pirates dig out of the massive hole they found themselves in at start of their season. Two games over .500 for the first time since April 11th, the Bucs now find themselves within swiping distance of one of the two Wild Card spots in large part to Harrison’s effort. That effort was on display during a wild escape from a run-down in the 10th that so infuriated Mets manager Terry Collins, he got himself ejected for arguing.

Mike Trout obliterated a ball today, sending it 489 feet in the opposite direction against the Kansas City Royals. He set a Kauffman Stadium record in the process, beating Travis Hafner's record by eight feet.
