His hustle continues to get Yasiel Puig in trouble. This time, it appears the Dodgers outfielder injured himself during Saturday's game against the Rockies while sliding hard into second as he tried to break up a double play in the top of the fifth, according to reports from ESPN LA.
Yasiel Puig leaves game with hip pain, most Mets anniversary possible
Yasiel Puig left the game on Saturday after possibly injuring himself trying to break up a double play, while the Mets celebrated a particularly depressing anniversary.

Puig was replaced by Scott Van Slyke on defense in the bottom of the inning, but there's no word yet on how severe the injury may be. Or how long he'll be out, as the team is reporting he's "day-to-day" with what's being called a right hip flexor strain. There is a bit of good news for Dodger fans in all this, however, as before leaving Puig managed to extend his on-base streak to 38 games with a walk.
Also leaving the game early for the Dodgers was second baseman Dee Gordon, who was dealing with his own hip issues. Gordon was taken out in the fourth with "hip discomfort" and replaced by Chone Figgins.
The most Mets anniversary possible
Today in 1966 the #Mets passed on Reggie Jackson with the 1st overall pick to draft Steve Chilcott. The #Athletics took Jackson 2nd overall.
