Unfortunately, the Futures Game had to compete with the World Cup -- and Major League games -- for viewers but the young players selected for what is effectively a minor league All-Star game put on a show.

Sunday was a day for impressive home runs with Joey Gallo putting on a show in the Futures Game and Madison Bumgarner giving himself plenty of run support.

In fact, the most notable part of the event might've been the monster home run hit by Texas Rangers power prospect Joey Gallo. He hit a home run into the alley in right field that ended up on top of the parking garage just outside the stadium.
He added another home run in the game, launching a two-run bomb that helped the U.S. team come away with a 3-2 win. Gallo has always been renowned for his power and fans got to see it on the big stage.
Bumgarner makes his own run support
Madison Bumgarner took helping his own cause to the next level on Sunday when he hit a grand slam home run.
A pitcher grand slam is rare enough, but Giants catcher Buster Posey also launched a grand slam giving both pieces of the San Francisco battery grand slams.
