With no hits, seven strikeouts and just two walks, Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs was throwing one of the best games of his young career through 4 2/3 innings, before a pain in his forearm forced him to leave Thursday's game against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards.
Tyler Skaggs leaves game with forearm tightness
Angels southpaw Tyler Skaggs left a no-hitter on the board against the Orioles with what’s being reported as forearm tightness.

Thankfully for Angels fans, Los Angeles Times beat writer Mike DiGiovanna has tweeted that Skaggs “left the game because of left forearm tightness. Will be examined by docs, but does not appear to be serious.”
Skaggs, like Cliff Lee earlier in the evening, looked pained immediately after stepping off the mound. Unlike his fellow lefthander, however, the former Diamondback called for a trainer before being taken out of the game.
After joining the Angels in the offseason as part of a three-team trade that moved Mark Trumbo to the Diamondbacks, the 23-year-old has been slightly below average, posting an ERA+ of 82 (meaning he's 18% above the average ERA for the league, adjusted for park factors). However, with the AL West-leading A's loading up on pitching before the trade deadline, the Halos need all arms on deck.
