Freshly signed Rusney Castillo could see game action -- in the minor leagues -- as soon as this weekend per The Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo.
Rusney Castillo reportedly could join Red Sox soon
Rusney Castillo, the new $72.5-million man in Boston, could play in the minors as early as this weekend, per a report.

Castillo signed a seven-year, $72.5 million deal on August 22, so he would be getting into baseball shape just over a week later. The Cuban outfielder gives the Red Sox a plethora of options in the outfield after they acquired Allen Craig and Yoenis Cespedes at the deadline to go with internal options Jackie Bradley, Jr., Mookie Betts, Shane Victorino, and Daniel Nava.
LeBlanc clears waivers
Angels pitcher Wade LeBlanc has cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A. This is notable in that the Angels can't afford to lose any pitchers at this point, though it's worth wondering whether LeBlanc qualifies as one given his 9.31 ERA
Speedy Clevelanders
