Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta has a no-hitter through seven innings against the Reds at Wrigley Field.
Jake Arrieta has not allowed a hit through 7 innings vs. Reds
Arrieta is flirting with a no-hitter against the Reds at Wrigley for the second time this season.

Arrieta has allowed only one baserunner and has faced the minimum. Reds outfielder Billy Hamilton led off the fourth inning with a walk but was promptly caught stealing for the first out of that inning. Arrieta quickly struck out the next two hitters. He struck out the side in the first inning and has nine punch-outs on the evening.
The Cubs have not thrown a no-hitter since Carlos Zambrano accomplished the feat on Sept. 14, 2008 in Houston. The last no-no at Wrigley Field came on Sept. 2, 1972, when Milt Pappas shutdown Don Zimmer's Padres in an 8-0 victory.
Arrieta is no stranger to his current situation. Three months ago, in his last home start against the Reds, Arrieta took a no-hitter into the seventh before allowing a pair of runs on three hits while striking out nine in a 7-3 win.
