MLB Wednesday viewing guide: Royals could eliminate Indians, move into tie with Tigers
Kansas City needs a win and a Detroit loss to accomplish both things.

The Indians' season comes down to Trevor Bauer, who is coming off of his first zero-walk start as a big leaguer. Bauer has a 4.38 ERA in four September starts. The Royals counter with Jason Vargas, owner of a 9.00 ERA in his last three outings.
Elsewhere, the Tigers are stuck facing White Sox ace Chris Sale, who leads the league in ERA (2.20) and strikeouts per nine innings (10.6).
