In his first at-bat in his final home game on Thursday night at Yankee Stadium, Derek Jeter nearly brought the house down with a drive to left field. It nearly went out, but instead caromed off the wall for a double to score Brett Gardner.

That was Jeter’s 544th double, passing Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn for 30th on the all-time list. Jeter later advanced to third and scored his 1,923rd career run, tying Thursday night’s game at 2-2.
