With just two days remaining in baseball’s regular season, there are still two divisions yet undecided and one wild card spot still up for grabs. Here are the Saturday clinching scenarios around MLB:
MLB playoffs clinching scenarios Saturday
A look at potential playoff clinching scenarios in Major League Baseball for Saturday, with two divisions and one wild card spot still up for grabs.

AL Central
The Kansas City Royals (88-72) clinched a playoff spot on Friday night for the first time in 29 years, but don't have to necessarily settle for the wild card. Kansas City is just one game back of the Detroit Tigers (89-71) with two games to play. Detroit can clinch the division on Saturday with a win at home over the Minnesota Twins (7 p.m. ET) AND a loss by the Royals to the host Chicago White Sox (7 p.m.).
NL Central
The St. Louis Cardinals (89-71) and Pittsburgh Pirates (88-72) already clinched playoff spots, but their big prize is winning the NL Central to avoid the one-game playoff that is the NL Wild Card Game. St. Louis can clinch the division on Saturday with a win against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Arizona (8 p.m.) AND a Pittsburgh loss at the Cincinnati Reds (1 p.m.). Which ever team doesn't win the Central will host the San Francisco Giants in the National League Wild Card Game on Wednesday.
AL wild card
The Oakland Athletics (87-73) have a two-game lead over the division-rival Seattle Mariners (85-75) with two games to play, and a magic number of just one to clinch the final wild card spot. Oakland can punch its ticket to the playoffs with either a win at the Texas Rangers (8 p.m.) OR a Mariners loss in Anaheim against the Los Angeles Angels (9 p.m.). If all three of the A's, Tigers and Royals win on Saturday, Oakland is assured of playing Tuesday's American League Wild Card Game on the road.
