After a pair of thrilling, five-game Division Series wins that concluded on Wednesday, the teams with the two best records in the league will square off in the American League Championship Series. The Kansas City Royals will host the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 at Kauffman Stadium on Friday night.
The Blue Jays will turn to Marco Estrada, who was 13-8 with a 3.13 ERA and 131 strikeouts in 181 innings, in Game 1. David Price, who pitched three innings and threw 50 pitches in relief on Tuesday against Texas, will take the mound on Saturday in Game 2.
Edinson Volquez starts for the Royals at home in the opener on Friday. He struck out eight Astros in Game 3 of the ALDS but allowed three runs to take the loss. Kansas City will turn to Yordano Ventura in Game 2 on Saturday.
FOX will televise Game 1 from Kansas City, beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET with a pregame show, then game coverage starts at 8 p.m., with Joe Buck on play-by-play, alongside analysts Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci and reporters Ken Rosenthal and Erin Andrews.
